Part-Time Day and Evening Courses for HRM Employees Online
This 10-week program is offered four times throughout the year.
Classes are offered online via Microsoft Teams, Monday to Thursday from 9-11:15am, 1-3:15pm, 3:45-6pm, and 6:30-8:45pm. On Fridays classes are offered from 9-11:15am, and 1-3:15pm. All times are in Atlantic Standard time.
Please note that not every level is offered at each time slot.
Students can choose to attend either the regular part-time program, which consists of 2 hours and 15 minutes of weekly classes, or the accelerated part-time program, which consists of 4 hours and 30 minutes of weekly classes.
All materials for the class will be provided in the virtual classroom.
There are four cycles within the Part-time program: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Perfectionnement. Each cycle has four levels. Students are granted a certificate of attendance upon satisfactory completion of each 10-week program.
For the Conversation classes, please note the following prerequisites:
- Beginner Conversation: Beginner 104
- Intermediate Conversation: Intermediate 104
- Advanced Conversation: Advanced 104
The cost of the course, and course material, will covered for a certain number of HRM employees on the pre-approved registration list.
Our Language Roadmap: From English to Full French
As you progress through our Part-time program, the amount of English used in class will decrease.
Here is what you can expect at each level:
- In the Beginner Cycle, Beginner 101 will have about 20% French and 80% English instruction. Instruction in French will increase throughout the cycle, and in Beginner 104, students will have about 60% of instruction in French.
- In the Intermediate Cycle, Intermediate 101 students will have about 60-70% of instruction in French, and by the Intermediate 104 level, instruction in French will be at about 90-100%.
- In the Advanced and Perfectionnement cycles, instruction in French is at 100%.
The gradual increase in French being used as the main teaching language overtime allows students to build their language fluency, and to be more comfortable in using French in various environments.

Please note that once your registration has been processed, an email will be sent to your superviser for them to approve your enrollment in the course. Please note that it may take some time to process your registration, due to the large number of registrations received.
If we have not received their approval by September 16th, your application will be considered incomplete, and your registration will be cancelled.
